A Plimsoll ‘Outstanding Company’ award is a great compliment and we’re pleased our business has been acknowledged by this world-renowned industry analyst”.

Founded back in 1936 Vent-Axia was launched with the introduction of the world’s first electrically-operated window fan. This innovation has continued for over 75 years. The company has achieved its excellent commercial performance and retained its position as market leaders in its field by continually investing in its products, people and manufacturing.

In fact, the company’s constant focus on improving it processes led to its reshoring initiative which resulted in UK Prime Minster, David Cameron recently visiting the successful Sussex firm to view its assembly lines that were brought back to the UK from China. The new production lines created 35 new site jobs in a tough economic climate and increased the number of its assembly staff on site employed by 50% compared to before the reshoring.

Vent-Axia completed the reshoring of the balance of its domestic fan manufacturing, from China back to the UK, a year earlier in January 2013 with the launch of three new production lines at its Crawley site. The culmination of a two-year project, the new assembly lines doubled the company’s on-site manufacturing of its residential unitary fans. The company invested over £350k in tooling for the new production lines, as well as investing in building works to incorporate the new manufacturing.

Meanwhile, during the last three years Vent-Axia has shown its commitment to research and development launching 16 products ranges which include over 200 new products. Vent-Axia’s output is set to triple within the next 12 months thanks to the launch of 15 new product ranges.
